Police in Nkayi are appealing for information about the killers responsible for the brutal murder of a 40-year-old man from Svesve.
According to a police statement, the deceased, Nkosana Moyo, was attacked by four unknown suspects near Svesve Village, Shangani North, on July 10. Moyo succumbed to his injuries two days later at a hospital in Inyathi.
The police report states that “four unknown suspects struck the victim, Nkosana Moyo (40), with machetes and axes for unknown reasons. The victim died while admitted at a hospital in Inyathi on July 12, 2024.”
The police said they are working around the clock to track down the suspects, scouring the area for clues and conducting interviews with potential witnesses.
As the investigation continues, they are also exploring possible links to other recent murder cases.
In a separate incident, Ephraim Benard was found dead with multiple cuts on the head in a hut at Foothills Farm, Bindura, on July 12.
Additionally, Tineyi Zonde (35) was discovered dead with a swollen face and fractured hand near Sanyika Village, Mhondoro, on the same day.
The police are urging anyone with information to come forward and report at any nearest police station.
