President Emmerson Mnangagwa has emphasized the importance of ZANU PF meetings as platforms for shaping Zimbabwe’s future.
Addressing the 124th Session of the Central Committee, he stressed that these gatherings are not mere talk shows but critical decision-making forums.
“Our meetings are not talk shows. They are platforms where policies, directives, programmes and projects are crafted to transform the lives of the people of Zimbabwe,” President Mnangagwa said.
“The supremacy of the party over the government is a standing principle that compels us to ensure that resolutions made at the party level are reflected in government policies.”
He highlighted the upcoming 21st National People’s Conference as an opportunity for ZANU PF to rejuvenate and strengthen, positioning itself to deliver tangible results that improve the quality of life for Zimbabweans.
“The collective expectation is to see the party emerge rejuvenated, motivated, stronger, more united, and focused on realising the necessary results to improve the quality of life for our people,” President Mnangagwa said.
He urged party members to focus on implementing outstanding business from previous conferences, particularly the pertinent resolutions from the 20th National People’s Conference and the 7th National People’s Congress.
President Mnangagwa also emphasized ZANU PF’s deep-rooted connection to the country’s liberation struggle and the need to uphold its values and principles.
“The policies and projects enunciated at this conference must find their place in government plans. It is our duty to ensure that the decisions made here are fully executed by the central government,” he said.
The President called on ZANU PF leaders to remain steadfast and committed to serving the people of Zimbabwe, emphasizing that their actions must reflect the values of the party both in public and private spheres.
