According to BH36 Primary School head of sporting department Hloniphani Nkomo, Matabeleland North district and provincial competitions are set for next month.

“After a long Covid-19 induced break, the sleeping giants have awakened,” Nkomo announced during the school assembly this week.

“Sporting activities under both NAPH and NASH are back with a bang, so the NAPH itinerary stands as follows; district competitions will be held on July 1 in Hwange while provincial competitions will be held from July 11 to 15.

“These competitions will be held in Bubi district at a venue to be advised.”

Nkomo also announced that the national competitions will this year be held in Matabeleland South between July 25 to 29, although the venue is yet to be confirmed.

He, however, said only four disciplines will take available in this year’s competitions which are netball, football, volleyball and basketball.
