Masiyambiri (49)’s album launch titled Hamukundikane will be headlined by Matheas Mhere, who will officiate as a guest of honour at the Hwange Golf Club starting from 7PM.

“I have resorted to preaching through gospel music and I started singing when I was at school and sometimes at church,” he said.

“l, however, didn’t take my talent to another level until this year when l pushed to preach to the people of the world through music especially in a time like this where we are facing the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I am singing about giving people hope and faith in God alone.”

Of the seven tracks, one composed Ndebele song is called Uyaphila while the English one has been named My Reddemer while the rest will be sung in Shona.

Masiyambiri said his band is backed by five female vocalists and two men including himself, a base guitarist, lead guitarist, one drum player and two keyboard players all drawn from the small community of Hwange.
