According to Molokele’s spokesperson Thulani Moyo, some of the lucky residents who received groceries hampers include Robert Sibanda at Madumabisa village under ward 11, Big Charlie and a DRC family who lost all their property when their house caught fire.

“At Lwendulu Village under ward 9, the beneficiaries included the legendary and iconic Big Charlie and the netball legendary superstar Scholastica Phiri,” Moyo said.

“Other beneficiaries included Ambuya Patience Makamure and Michelle Ncube in the DRC under ward 6 who experienced a big tragedy earlier this year when their home was gutted down by a huge fire.”

Big Charlie suffers from gigantic acromegaly which is a hormone disorder and typically, he has enlarged hands, feet, head, jaw, nose and forehead.

Born Charles Nyoni, and now 56 years old, Big Charlie of Lwendulu in Hwange is almost reaching the 300kg mark in weight and towering just over 2,1 metres in height

Moyo said the office of the MP has over the years consistently given some grocery hampers to several residents across the constituency

“Big Charlie is perhaps the most famous beneficiary as he has been receiving monthly groceries from the Office of the MP since towards the end of 2018.”
