A 19 – year-old teenage boy from Dete is on the run following a gruesome murder that he committed on his neighbour as the two fought over a torch light.
Police in a statement identified the suspect as Bhekhimpilo Khumalo of Mambanje Village.
He allegedly committed the crime last week where he hit Peter Lupahla with a stone Peter Lupahla, killing him instantly.
“The ZRP is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Bhekhimpilo Khumalo (19), who is being sought by the Police in connection with a murder case which occurred at Mambanje Village, Dete on 11/03/23 at about 2000 hours,” police said.
“The suspect allegedly struck Peter Lupahla (24) to death with a stone once on the neck after a misunderstanding over a torch light.
Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station.”
