So far, 167 cattle have been vaccinated as of early this week, marking a significant step towards achieving this goal.
“Today, we proudly kicked off our annual livestock vaccination campaign specifically for cattle within the mobile predator-proof Boma system,” the trust said on Tuesday.

“With the invaluable support of the Veterinary Department of Zimbabwe, local farmers, and Dr. Isaac Moyo, 167 animals were vaccinated against critical diseases such as anthrax, botulism, black leg, lumpy skin, and brucellosis.”
The trust’s efforts are particularly important in the face of a severe drought, which has made animal health a critical concern.

“With the current drought, ensuring animal health is critical to helping our communities sustain their livelihoods, and in local culture, those livelihoods are livestock.
But this is just the beginning! Our goal is to vaccinate a total of 2,000 cattle in the Boma system by the end of 2025.”
