A devastating incident has left a family in mourning after a two-year-old baby boy drowned in an uncovered septic tank at a house in Bulawayo.
Police on X, said the incident occurred in Rangemore, Umguza, on August 6.
The toddler was playing outside while his aunt was inside the house, unaware of the danger that lurked just a few feet away.
In a separate incident, police said 22-year-old Talent Murambidzi was found brutally murdered on August 4, in the Linters area of Epworth, Harare.
Deep cuts on his head suggested a violent attack, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The bloodshed continues with the murder of 42-year-old Arubero Shorai, who was found dead with stab wounds on August 5 along Maswaya Way in Joburgline, Mbare.
The suspects, armed with bricks and a metal bar, attacked security guards and fuel attendants before stealing US$20 282 and ZIM$20 cash, as well as a laptop.
In another robbery, six unknown suspects targeted a company along Cleverland Road in Msasa, Harare, making off with US$5 500 cash and a laptop.
Police are appealing for information to help bring the perpetrators to justice.
