Hwange Central legislator Daniel Molokele has opened a new law firm in the mining town as part of his 2018 election campaign promise to give Hwange residents a voice in the justice system.
The new law firm named Molokele Law Chambers officially opened its doors on April 1.
Thulani Moyo, Molokele’s spokesperson said the law firm will serve residents by handling criminal labour, civil and debt collection cases.
“The genesis of the vision was the fulfilment of an election promise, after the local community cried that they do not have a local law firm run by a bonafide Hwange resident, “Moyo said.
“We will be an all-round legal practice dealing in civil law, labour law, criminal cases, debt collection and family law.
“It will also motivate and promote those locals who have ambitions to become lawyers by assisting in their endeavors.”
Moyo said the law firm will serve the whole community regardless of political affiliation.
“The law firm is a business, it is apolitical, so it does not address anything political,” he said.
The new law firm is located at the Pharmacy Building Complex opposite the St Patrick’s Hospital.
Molokele is a lawyer by profession. He is a senior member of the Citizens Coalition for Change led by Nelson Chamisa.
