Hwange’s Kachecheti villagers form development committee

Kachecheti Village under Hwange West Constituency has  elected nine development committee members to spearhead development in the village.

Kachecheti is made of four boreholes, that is 33, 34, 36, and 37, and is under the leadership of village chairperson Ndabayabo Moyo.

Speaking at the selection of the committee which was held recently, Moyo urged the new members to make use of their expertise in order to uplift the community they are representing. 

“I urge all elected members to lead by example,” he said.

“This place has been lacking in development for some time and we are yet to see if there could be any for our village, so I encourage you to do your best to serve the people.”

Moyo further stressed the point that no one will represent his borehole, but the village as a whole. 

Bhekimpilo Weza was elected as the committee chairperson and will be deputised by Thembeni Moyo from BH 33.

Jackson Somandla took the secretary’s post  and assisted by Silibaziso Masuku. 

The treasury was given to Kausi Masuku who will work hand in hand with Melusi Ndlovu and Aaron Ndlovu as the  committee members while Senzeni Ncube will be the organiser.

Speaking about his selection,the chairperson Weza said development has to start at improving the education system.

“We have no boundaries starting with education because that’s where development starts, ” Weza said.

” I urge my committee members to be ready for work as we all intend to change the face of Kachecheti. 

“Apart from education, my first priority will be to bring the clinic to Kachecheti”

Kachecheti is under Kachechete Ward under councillor Given Moyo.
